State-owned enterprises had net profit of MNT 880 billion in 2017
The ‘Management and Corporate Social Responsibility of state-owned enterprises-2018’ event to promote the activities, achievements and further goals of state participation and state-owned companies to the public took place at Sukhbaatar square today, May 3. Total of 75 companies including Erdenet Mining Corporation, Erdenes Mongol, MIAT, Ulaanbaatar Railway and National Auto Transportation Center participated the event.

518 thousand tons of wheat expected to be cropped this year
This year, Mongolia has set a goal to harvest 538 thousand tons of grain, of which 518 thousand tons of wheat, 171 thousand tons of potato, 102 thousand tons of vegetable, 64 thousand tons of fodder plants, 34 tons of oil plants and three thousand tons of berries.

Reserve requirements of banks reduced
Reserve requirements of banks have been reduced. In this regard, banks are obliged to accumulate 12 percent of USD deposit and 10 percent of MNT deposit to the Bank of Mongolia in cash.

One stop shop for gold purchasing to open in aimags
The Precious Metals Assay Inspection Department of Mongolian Agency for Standard and Metrology and the Sustainable Artisanal Mining (SAM) Project of Swiss Development Agency intend to establish Precious Metals Assay Laboratories in Darkhan-Uul and Bayankhongor aimags. In connection with it the Bank of Mongolia (BOM) decided to open One stop shops for gold purchasing in the aimags through its branches.

ADB to grant USD 2.5 million to Mongolia
