Central Bank introduces RTGS system
With implementing a subproject ‘The second stage reform of Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) System’ of ‘Payment System Reform’ by the Central Bank of Mongolia with support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), RTGS system of high-value interbank transactions was completely transferred to the second version of the system on January 26.

According to the Statistics Division of the Mongolian Customs General Administration, Mongolia imported 19 thousand tons of auto gasoline last month, with a decrease of 10 thousand tons against the same period of previous year.

Industrial production increases

Exports of gemstones and coin reaches USD 27 million
Mongolia’s total foreign trade turnover reached USD 785 million in the previous month, up by 11 percent or USD 79 million compared to the same period of previous year. The exports surpassed imports again, making the gap between exports and imports USD 62 million.

Development Bank invested MNT 700 billion in energy sector
The Development Bank of Mongolia has granted about MNT 1 trillion fundings to more than 1600 projects and programs through domestic commercial banks in the past period. Particularly, over MNT 700 billion investment was made in 50 projects and activities covering energy sector.
