Wreaths laid at Zaisan Memorial and Monument to Marshal G.K.Zhukov

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, ceremonies took place on Monday to lay wreaths at the Zaisan Memorial Complex for Soviet Soldiers and the Monument to Marshal G.K.Zhukov in Ulaanbaatar.

The ceremony was attended Ts.Tsolmon, the Mongolian Minister of Defense, I.K.Azizov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mongolia, S.V.Chepurnoy, the Ambassador of Belarus to Mongolia, K.I.Koblandin, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Mongolia and other officials.

The former Soviet Union had significantly contributed to the independence of Mongolia, whereas the Mongolian people also had given big aid to the Soviet Red Army in times of the World War II. The new generation has to respect and be aware of the historical and friendly relationship between our two nations, said Mr Tsolmon during the ceremonies.

In the context of the Victory Day and the 95th anniversary of the Mongolia-Russia diplomatic relations celebrations, a Mongolia-Russia joint concert named “Velikaya Pobeda” /Great Victory/  was staged on Monday in the Convention Concert Hall of the “Corporate” hotel.
