G.Gan-Erdene wins bronze medal in Cuba

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ International master of sports G.Gan-Erdene captured bronze medal in the Cardova Cardin Memorial international boxing tournament which was concluded last week in Havana, Cuba.

Competed in the men’s -49 kg bout, Gan-Erdene was defeated by a Cuban rival at the semi-final contest. Other three boxers D.Otgondalai (60 kg), B.Chinzorig (64 kg) and B.Tuvshinbat (69 kg) did not advance to prize-winning places.

Boxers of the national team of Mongolia will compete soon in the last qualification tournament for Olympic quotas which will be held in Azerbaijan.
