Mongolia to introduce standards for Halal slaughter
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Food and Agriculture R.Burmaa received Friday Mr. Mehmet Süreyya Er, Vice President of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Turkey.
At the meeting, views were shared on introducing technology of slaughtering animals by halal methods.
During the meeting, certificates “Halal products” of Turkish Standardization Institute were granted to 30 individuals who were involved in training course on technology of slaughtering animals by halal methods” which was held on April 13-15.
The training has been organized by the two sides within the context of the cooperation.
This training was an important event that is instrumental to increasing the meat and meat products export of Mongolia and animal husbandry development. A certificate issued by Turkish Institute valid in 39 countries and opens up possibilities for exporting meat to Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
