“Visit of China’s Premier to forward our comprehensive strategic partnership”

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister J.Erdenebat held Thursday official talks with Li Keqiang, his counterpart of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), who is on an official visit to Mongolia.

The Premier of the State Council of China congratulated J.Erdenebat on his appointment as the Prime Minister of Mongolia, and then invited him to visit China.

The Mongolian Premier believes that the visit of Li Keqiang will progress the Mongolia-China comprehensive strategic partnership relations and forward the cooperation, and then extended thanks to the government of China for rendering a big support in preparation works for the ASEM Summit in Ulaanbaatar. He pointed out that the Mongolian government will carry on the policy on boosting bilateral traditional relations and cooperation.

During the talks, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, infrastructure, border and regional collaboration.

China said it is ready to cooperate with Mongolia in the sectors of agricultural processing industry, construction material and infrastructure. In addition, Li Keqiang said his country will render non-refundable aid of CNY 350 million to Mongolia for re-planning of ger areas of Ulaanbaatar to replace them with residential apartments.

J.Erdenebat applauded the cooperation proposals of China and affirmed that Mongolia will realize proposals for enhancing the bilateral relations and cooperation.

He emphasized that grant aid and soft-loans given from the government of China have been contributing to the development of Mongolia, and expressed gratitude for writing off the debt of Mongolia.
