New kindergarten to be built at Ulaanchuluut garbage dump

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A ground-breaking ceremony has been held for a kindergarten to be built at Ulaanchuluut garbage dump for disadvantaged children living in the area.
 
The kindergarten will have the capacity for 75 children and is expected to be inaugurated on August 25.
 
At an initiative of MP Kh.Nyambaatar, the MNT 600 million project is run by Nyambaatar Foundation and Veloo Foundation and is supported by the Governor’s Office of Songinokhairkhan district, where the Ulaanchuluut garbage dump is located.
 
There are more than 50 children aged below 16 and about 200 people living in the Ulaanchuluut garbage dump. A children’s shower house and a vocational training center are planned to be built next to the kindergarten, according to MP Kh.Nyambaatar. The establishment of the kindergarten will create over 20 jobs.
 
During the ceremony, B.Munkhtsetseg, Chairwoman of the Citizens’ Representative Khural of Songinokhairkhan district said that the commissioning of 7 schools, 12 kindergartens and 14 kindergarten expansion works will take place in the district in 2018.
 
Veloo Foundation previously built a kindergarten named ‘Children of the Peak Sanctuary’ in the garbage dump area.
