Cultural division to be established in each aimag of MongoliaPolitics
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The cabinet held its regular weekly meeting on June 16. At the meeting, the government made amendments to its resolution on restructuring aimags’ governors’ offices to change the title of the Education and Cultural Department to Educational Department and Cultural Division.
Corresponding officials were charged with establishing new job positions in charge of arts and cultural affairs and take necessary measures to maintain normal operations in line with relevant regulations. The government views that the establishment of cultural divisions at governors’ offices in aimags will enhance quality and accessibility of cultural services and ensure effective implementation of the government’s cultural policy in aimags to promote creative cultural industry and safeguard cultural heritages.
Moreover, the cabinet made a decision to establish state-owned enterprises ‘Development Center for Persons with Disabilities’ in Arkhangai, Darkhan-Uul, Dornod, Dundgobi, Khovd and Khuvsgul aimags, responsible for providing health, social and rehabilitation services and assistance to people with disabilities. The aforementioned aimags will prepare to launch construction of the development centers, which are expected to open by 2022.
