Speaker of State Great Khural receives Ambassador of Laos

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On May 31, Speaker of the State Great Khural G.Zandanshatar received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Phengsavanh Keopraseuth.
While thanking the Speaker for taking the time to meet with him, the Ambassador pledged to pay special attention to strengthening and expanding friendly relations between the two countries and cooperation between the State Great Khural of Mongolia and the National Assembly of Laos. Moreover, he expressed commitment to making sure the agreements established within the framework of the bilateral cooperation are effective and to intensify their implementation.
The Speaker noted that the two countries’ legislatures are working closely together and expressed confidence that the Ambassador would take the initiative to deepen trade and economic relations between the two countries, pledging all-round support during his tenure in Mongolia.
In connection with the
60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Lao People’s
Democratic Republic, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral ties and future
cooperation.
