Khurelsukh Ukhnaa: All-round Support will be Provided in Deepening Reform in Prosecutor’s Office

Ulaanbaatar, 2024 February 26 /MONTSAME/ President
of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa addressed the 2024 General Meeting of Management
Staff of the Prosecutor’s Offices in Mongolia.
"Respecting the rule of law, strictly adhering to lawyer ethics, and working truthfully
are the fundamentals of establishing justice,” noted the President.
Particularly, President Khurelsukh warned them to stand up against corruption,
letting the criminals escape conviction, repressing people, betraying the
national fundamental interest, and serving the political and business
interest.
He reminded them that the people of Mongolia are carefully
watching how numerous publicly known white-collar corruption cases that stole
the people’s opportunities and pulled back social development, will be
prosecuted.
Also, the President emphasized strong obeyance of laws, stopping
and preventing any actions influencing the prosecutor’s office or obstructing
the independence status of prosecutors so that the case is settled for their
interest.
Moreover, President Khurelsukh gave the directive to intensify actions against the people who allowed others to illegitimately own or possess the land and natural resources and actions towards repaying for the damage caused to nature.
The President of Mongolia expressed his readiness to
provide all-round support in deepening the legal reform in the prosecutor’s
office to have prosecutors who strictly obey the law, respect human rights and
freedom, and fulfill their official duties truthfully with honor, following professional
ethics.
The General Meeting under the theme “Productivity and Efficiency”
was attended by 51 officials of prosecutor’s offices of aimag, capital city, district,
and soums and more than 1200 prosecutors
participated online.
