SPACES project supports Tea Road Festival in Khovd
From 24. September to 2. October 2022, the German-Mongolian cooperation project SPACES (Supporting Protected Areas for the Conservation of Ecosystem Services) which is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Mongolian Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) supported Khovd’s 3rd Tea Road Festival with a variety of activities.
Negotiations underway on establishing agreement for the protection of geographical indications
Since 2019-2022, the parties have been actively working to officially launch the Geographical Indications agreement negotiations, and jointly organized number of events including Trade and Investment Subcommittee consultations of Mongolia and the EU, and other formal and informal meetings regarding the issues of Geographical Indications.

Molecular Biology Laboratory opens at Urguu Maternity Hospital
The laboratory consists of 22 types of equipment, furniture, and consumables worth approximately 350 million MNT. The laboratory equipment was supplied by LifeTronik LLC and enables molecular biology diagnostics, which has many health service applications, including early detection and prevention of STIs and cervical cancer.
