Industrial production index increases
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The industrial production index (seasonally adjusted) in August 2015 was 157.5 (2010=100), increasing by 21.1% against the previous month, by 17.2% against beginning of the year and by 33.4% over the same period of the previous year.
In the mining and quarrying sectors the mining products such as gold, copper with concentrate, crude oil, molybdenium with concentrate have increased by 13.4-26.7%, the production of products such as spirit, liquid medicine, carpet, biscuit, buuz and dumpling, felt, kind of sausage, vacuum windows and doors, beer, railway sleeper, cement went down; and camel woolen blanket, small intestine, leather boots and shoes, copper (99%) increased by 1.3% to 7.4 times in the manufacturing sector compared to the same period of the previous year.
But in the mining and quarrying sectors the mining products such as zincum concentrate, iron ore, flour spar concentrate, broken or crashed stone decreased by 6.1-44.9% against the previous year.
In the manufacturing sector, the production of products such as bakery products, fodder, sawn wood, bread, articles of iron concrete, knitted goods, newspapers, milk, alcoholic beverage, metal steel, lime, metal sleeper, metal foundries, sweets, beauty cream, wheat flour highest grade, noodles, cigarettes, steel casting, sheepskin coat, wooden building door and windows, electric wire decreased by 3.4-64.8%.
