Speaker Z.Enkhbold meets Naryshkin
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ While in Russia with the official visit, the Chairman of the State Great Khural (parliament) Z.Enkhbold Monday met with Mr Sergey Naryshkin, the Chairman of Russia’s State Duma, in Moscow.
The latter said he is happy to meet again with the Mongolian Speaker and congratulated Mongolia on successfully hosting the Autumn Session of the OSCE PA in Ulaanbaatar at a high level. He thanked the Mongolian side for understanding and supporting the Russian position during the Session.
Russia wants to cooperate with Mongolia within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) at an international field, Mr Naryshkin said and emphasized that the cooperation with Mongolia in politics, economy and other spheres plays a vital role for the Russian side. He also underlined an importance of developing the inter-citizen ties.
In response, Mr Enkhbold expressed a gratitude to the Chairman for taking part in the OSCE PA Autumn Session in Ulaanbaatar and for sending greetings on the 25th anniversary of the permanent parliament of Mongolia. He emphasized an importance of boosting the strategic partnership with Russia with realistic contents. “Our countries have to focus on the economic and commercial ties,” he noted.
The two countries have been collaborating within the United Nations, regional and international organizations, Mr Enkhbold mentioned and hoped that Russia will support Mongolia in the 2022 election of the UN Security Council’s Non-Permanent Membership. The two countries are happy that they will support each other at the 2015 election of the United Nations Council for Human Rights (UNCHR), he said.
