Voter turnout in Ulaanbaatar reaches 36.90 %
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Capital city election committee announced the voter turnout in Ulaanbaatar was 36.90 % by 15.00. today. Bagakhangai district continues to lead by the turnout rate with 53.68%, while Baganuur district lags behind with 30.51%.
Voter turnout is 34-39% in other districts. According to the updated data given by the State Agency for Registration and Statistics, the number of registered voters went down to 843,903 from the earlier calculation – 903 thousand. The agency explained that contacts of some voters who had moved to localities haven’t been omitted from the list of voters in Ulaanbaatar. Also, some voters were excluded due to their travels abroad.
The voters who have returned from their travels can still vote, said Ts.Otgonbagana, a member of Capital city election committee.
