Tricia Turbold, Director of Economic Empowerment Programs of the Foundation, participated in the panel discussion exploring gender inclusiveness in the Mongolian financial sector and stressed the importance of supporting women operating MSMEs in the informal sector.

The workshop’s main goal was to address the critical issue of gender equality and human rights in Mongolia’s financial sector. Following the panel, roundtable discussions took place, and participants discussed gaps and identified potential solutions to promote gender mainstreaming in Mongolia’s financial sector.

The Foundation’s Women`s Economic Empowerment project was proud to support the workshop and efforts to improve access to finance for women entrepreneurs, as it is the biggest challenge for micro and small-scale women-owned enterprises in Mongolia.
