N. Chuluunkhuu Acclaimed at the International Competition
Society
Ulaanbaatar, July 18, 2023 /MONTSAME/. N. Chuluunkhuu, a soloist
of the State Opera and Ballet Academic Theatre, has earned an honorable mention
at the Fourteenth Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Young Opera
Singers, organized in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
This international competition was held by
the Elena Obraztsova Cultural Centre and the Charitable Foundation of Support
for the Music Art - The Elena Obraztsova Foundation, bringing together over 380
opera singers from 13 countries. Forty-nine opera singers from 11 countries
competed in the semi-finals of the competition, while 14 singers from 6
countries were selected for the final stage.
It should be noted that N. Chuluunkhuu had previously won the Grand Prix at the Twelfth International Opera Singers Competition named after the famous Russian composer Isaak Dunayevsky, which was jointly organized by the Union of Russian Composers and the Moscow Composers' Union under the auspices of the President of Russia on May 17-21, 2023.
