Prime Minister of Mongolia Receives Ambassadors of the PRC and the USA to Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, July 18, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Mongolia Shen Minjuan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Mongolia Richard Buangan respectively.


At the meeting with Ambassador Shen Minjuan, Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene expressed the country’s aspiration to bring relations and cooperation between the two countries to a new level by activating projects in trade, economy, port, environment, and energy fields, intensifying the implementation of the joint projects, and programs, in connection with the formation of new Parliament with 126 members for the first time in the history of Mongolia, and new Joint Government.

  

This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the People's Republic of China, the 30th anniversary of the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between Mongolia and China, and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Within this framework, the two sides shared views on expanding the friendly relations, and cooperation and advancing the projects and programs of the two countries' economic cooperation.

 

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China in Mongolia Shen Mingjuan congratulated the Prime Minister of Mongolia on the new Parliament and new Government formed as a result of the parliamentary regular election. The Ambassador expressed the readiness to commence new mutually beneficial cooperation and advance the development of the two neighbour countries on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

 

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA in Mongolia Richard Buangan congratulated Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai for his appointment as the 33rd Prime Minister of Mongolia. Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene briefed on the structure of the newly formed Government as a result of the regular election of the State Great Khural and on the Government policies to adhere further.

 

The parties expressed commitment to strengthening the Strategic Third Neighbor Partnership between Mongolia and the USA, and exchanged views on some issues regarding the two countries' relations and cooperation, reports the Media and Public Relations Department of the Government of Mongolia.
