Maternity Hospitals to Provide Supplies Previously Purchased by Mothers Themselves

Ulaanbaatar, January 2, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Health Munkhsaikhan Togtmol and the World Health Organization Representative to Mongolia Dr. Socorro Escalante, visited the Amgalan Maternity Hospital.
During the visit, the Minister highlighted that items such as diapers, sanitary pads, wet and dry wipes, and toilet paper, which mothers previously purchased themselves after giving birth, are now being provided by the hospital. This initiative aims at enhancing postnatal hygiene and safety for mothers and newborns while alleviating financial burdens on families.
Additionally, the Amgalan Maternity Hospital has introduced a new Brain Cooling Device, which has been used on three newborns with "A" medical priority indications.
