Mongolian Unified Calligraphy Art Association Established

Ulaanbaatar, September 23, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian Unified Calligraphy Art Association (MUCAA) has been established, with its inaugural event held on September 22, 2025.
To mark the opening, a special exhibition featuring 40 works by 28 artists was organized at the National Art Gallery of Mongolia with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth, as well as the Department of Culture and Arts of the Capital city. The exhibition will remain open to the public until September 25, 2025.
During the event, Two-time winner of the Shine Tsas exhibition and Chairperson of MUCAA’s Governing Board, Tuvshinjargal Lkhasuren, presented the association’s goals, future activities, and organizational structure. The association will operate with honorary members and a seven-member representative governing board. R. Erdenebolor will serve as executive director.
MUCAA awarded honorary membership to six distinguished individuals and presented them with official membership certificates:
- Honorary Doctor of the Institute of Language and Literature, R. Otgonbaatar
- Laureate of the Order of
Chinggis Khaan, writer, poet, and calligraphist Mend-Ooyo Gombojav
- Grand Master of Calligraphy,
T. Jamyansuren,
- Honored Teacher of Mongolia, Grand Master of Calligraphy, D. Batbayar
- Doctor (PhD), Professor, S. Badral
- A widow of D. Battumur, founder of the Mongolian Contemporary Art Calligraphy Association and Grand Master of Calligraphy, B. Bayartsetseg
