Over 14000 citizens allocated land ownership in Arkhangai

Arkhangai /MONTSAME/ Law on allocation of land to Mongolian citizens for ownership has been realized since 2003 and a total of 14814 citizens of Arkhangai have been granted with land ownership for 1262.49 ha of land in total until now. Among them, 14774 citizens have owned 1244.53 ha of land free of charge for family need, 40 citizens have bought 17.57 ha of land for business use and around 0.11 ha of land, which exceeds land size limits to be owned free of charge, was allocated to the users for ownership at a fixed price.
In May 2017, 407 citizens owned 24.42 ha of land free of charge for family use. Erdenebulgan soum of the aimag planned to grant land ownership to 57 citizens this year. Law on land ownership to Mongolian citizens will be effective till June 2018 and all citizens can own their currently possessing land within the period, said a soum official in charge of the land issue.
