Events in
Ulaanbaatar:
January 6: Political party groups in the State Great Khural will convene.
January 6: The
2025 military registration will begin in the capital city in accordance with
the Law on Military Service, and the orders of the Minister of Defense and the
Governor of the Capital City.
January 7, 8: Standing
Committees of the State Great Khural of Mongolia will convene.
January 9,10: A
plenary session of the State Great Khural will be held.
January 10: The National Dance
Sports Championship for Juniors, Youth, and Adults will take place at the
Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace.
January 10, 11: The
National Ju-Jitsu Championship for Juniors, Youth, and Adults will take place
at the Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace.
January 10-12: The National Judo Championship for Adults will be
held at the Mongolian Wrestling Palace.
January 11: The State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater will present P.I. Tchaikovsky’s ballet “The Nutcracker.”
January 11, 12: Cycling Esports Championships will be held at the
Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace.
January 12, 13: The Adult Weightlifting National Championship will
be held at the Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace.
Registration for the “Dronocon-2025” National Drone Piloting
Championship will continue until January 14th, 2025.
A special exhibition “Marco Polo, Khubilai Khaan, the
Mongols” dedicated to 700th anniversary of Marco Polo will be on display at the
Chinggis Khaan National Museum until the 15th of January, 2025.
Local Events:
January 5-7: A working group appointed by the Office
of the Parliament, the Standing Committee on Ethics and Discipline, and the
Ethics Committee will work in Arvaikheer soum of Uvurkhangai aimag to get acquainted
with the activities of the Ethics Subcommittees and the implementation of the
Law on Ethics of Civil Servants.
January 6-7: The "Tsodgor Khuu-2025" Youth
Chess Aimag Championship will be held in Bulgan aimag.
Gathering feedback from different sectors on the program and
plan of the Governor of Dornod aimag will continue.
Events Abroad:
International master P. Murun is participating in the "Dakar Rally", in Bisha, Saudi Arabia.
