Hikers from Six Countries to Take Part in the “Ulaanbaatar” Winter Hiking Festival

Ulaanbaatar, February 6, 2025 /MONTSAME/ “Ulaanbaatar” Winter Hiking Festival will be held on February 15-16, 2025. The Tourism Department of the Capital City, the Mongolian Hiking Association, and the Mongol Olle Society are jointly organizing the festival, aiming at developing winter tourism in Ulaanbaatar by creating new tourism products and extending the tourist season, as well as encouraging citizens to adopt healthy and active habits.

 

More than 250 hikers from Mongolia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Czech Republic, the People's Republic of China, and the Italian Republic have registered to participate in the festival. The winter hike, which is being organized for the second year, will take place on the route from the "Nairamdal" International Children's Center to the "Javkhlant" station on February 15, 2025, and from the National Park to the "Sky Resort" ski resort on February 16, 2025.

  

The Tourism Department of the Capital City, in collaboration with the Jeju Tourism Organization and the Jeju Olle Foundation, has established Olle standard hiking trails with markings in three routes in Ulaanbaatar City since 2016. An international hiking festival is organized on these trails every August.
