‘Erdenes Mongol’ LLC Appoints New Chairman of the Board of Directors

Ulaanbaatar, September 3, 2025 /MONTSAME/. By a resolution of the shareholders’ meeting of ‘Erdenes Mongol’ LLC held on September 1, 2025, the Deputy Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia, Odkhuu Tserenjav, has been appointed as a state representative member of the Board of Directors and subsequently elected as the Board’s Chairman at its regular meeting.
He previously served as Head of the Department of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Internal Audit Department at the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, Head of the Department of Public Administration and Civil Aviation Authority at the Ministry of Roads and Transport, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ‘Tavantolgoi Railway’ LLC and ‘Mongolian Railway’ state-owned joint-stock company (SOJSC).
From 2022 to 2025, Head of the Sectoral Policy Coordination Department at the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia, Munkhtseren Sharav, served as Chairwoman of the Board of ‘Erdenes Mongol’ LLC. Munkhtseren has now been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of 'Erchist Mongol' LLC, a company tasked with providing governance and management oversight to state-owned enterprises, and has subsequently been elected Chair of the Board. During her tenure as Chairwoman of the Board of ‘Erdenes Mongol’ LLC, she successfully advanced reforms in state-owned mining companies, elevated the group’s governance framework to a new level, introduced international best practices in corporate governance, defined the group’s medium-term strategy, approved key policy documents, and established an integrated management and oversight system.
