Number of births declines again
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first nine months of this year, 60,514 mothers delivered 60,849 children (live births), reflecting a decrease of 796 mothers or 1.3% and by 825 children or 1.3% against the previous year.
In September of 2015, six thous.642 mothers delivered 6,652 children (live births), showing a decrease by 147 mothers or 2.2% and by 187 children or 2.7% against the previous month.
In the first nine months of this year, infant mortality reached 921, increasing by nine children or 1.0%, a mortality of the under-five reached 1,098, decreasing 13 children or 1.2% against the previous year. The infant mortality reached 102 this September, going up by ten children or 10.9%; the mortality of the under-five reached 123, increasing 13 children or 11.8% against the previous month.
