Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia Ch.Saikhanbileg and visiting Premier of Hungary Mr Viktor Orban Monday held official talks January 25.

The sides exchanged views on ways of boosting the bilateral relations and cooperation and on brining the economic cooperation into a newer level. Later that day at the press-conference for the media, given together with the high guest, Saikhanbileg underlined that these talks had been held in a full accordance with common interests of Mongolian and Hungarian people.

“Our countries signed today an intergovernmental agreement on the general programme on financial cooperation. We also agreed to develop meat trade, expand the cooperation in water and medicine spheres, have the two cities collaborate in public transport, smart city and E-governance, also to double a quota of Mongolian students to study in Hungary with scholarships,” Mr Saikhanbileg said at the press-conference.

The 2015 official visits of the President and of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary as well as re-opening of the Hungarian Embassy in Ulaanbaatar "are clear evidence ofthe significance Hungary has been attaching to its ties with Mongolia," Mr Saikhanbileg said. The current official visit of Mr Orban "will forward the Mongolia-Hungary traditional friendly relations and cooperation in all possible areas", he stated.

Mr Orban said our countries have been maintaining friendly ties for a long time and that Hungary will work on forwarding the bilateral cooperation.

Here he has been accompanied by some 50 business people, he noted and said their side wants to collaborate with Mongolian counterparts. He is also pleased with an establishment of the memorandums on cooperating in meat, water and medicine spheres, and with a signing of the financial document of 25 million US dollars from the Exim Bank of Hungary for renovating the "Biokombinat" state-run medicine factory, he said.

The Hungarian PM is satisfied with Mongolia's accepting proposal on doubling a quota of Mongolian students. For the time being, there are 100 students in Hungary who are studying with governmental scholarships.

He underlined that the meeting with his Mongolian colleague Saikhanbileg has been very open and fruitful and hoped that a cooperation in more spheres will become real.
