Mongolia acknowledges establishment of EPA with Japan
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The government of Mongolia sees the day of the Mongolia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) come into force as a new milestone in the bilateral relations in trade, economy and business fields, said Ch.Saikhanbileg, the Prime Minister of Mongolia at a meeting with Seiji Kitahara, Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan who is on a visit here.
The Prime Minister underlined that the EPA is opening wide opportunities to Mongolian nationals and companies to boost business with their Japanese counterparts. Public institutions of both countries now have to promote the EPA’s advantages, terms, discounts and opportunities.
During the course of the EPA establishment, Mongolia has gained experiences in working out such agreement and managed to form a skilled team, the Premier underlined.
For successful leadership of the Japanese working group for the EPA establishment, the Premier granted to the Deputy FM of Japan the Polar Star Order by the President’s decree.
The Prime Minister hopes that the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe would take part in the forthcoming 11th ASEM Summit to be held this July in Ulaanbaatar, and said Mongolia is thankful to Japan for rendering support in the Summit’s preparations.
Present at the meeting were D.Gankhuyag, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; D.Boldbaatar, the Ambassador-at-Large; Takenori Shimizu, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia; and other officials.
