President meets Prime Minister of Estonia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ President Ts.Elbegdorj received Wednesday Taavi Roivas, the Prime Minister of Estonia, in the State House.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Estonian Premier said he is visiting Mongolia for the first time, and congratulated Mongolia on hosting the 11th ASEM Summit.

President said Mongolia has been maintaining its relations with Estonia even from a period when Estonia was included in the former Soviet Union, and added that the countries have a great chance to expand their relations and cooperation.

He mentioned that Mongolia recently organized its parliamentary elections, and the new Prime Minister and parliament Speaker of Mongolia have been selected.

At the meeting, Ts.Elbegdorj talked about an electric system utilized in the parliamentary elections, the relations of Mongolia with the European Union, visits of the Luxembourg President and the German Chancellor to Mongolia, the trilateral meeting of the State Heads of Mongolia, Russia and China, which resulted an agreement of establishing the economic corridor.

The Estonian Prime Minister highly spoke a successful organization of the Mongolian parliamentary elections through the electric system. He also appreciated the Mongolian development and its democracy.
