Ts.Elbegdorj meets with Czech President

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj met Thursday with his Czech counterpart Milos Zeman who is visiting here to participate in the 11th ASEM Summit in Ulaanbaatar.

The Czech President started the meeting, congratulating Mongolians on hosting successfully parliamentary elections.

“Mongolians made their democratic revolution in 1990, and held the very first parliamentary elections in 1992. This year’s parliamentary elections were the seventh which organized under the majority system, utilizing machines for counting ballots. This electronic system allowed us to complete the counting of ballot papers in just 20-30 minutes,” Elbegdorj emphasized.

The Presidents of the countries shared views on the bilateral relations and cooperation. They noted that the two countries have long friendly relations and focused on cooperation in the spheres of techniques and technologies and training students.

The sides also exchanged views on cooperating at Eurasian and international arenas.
