School holidays extended
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to a resolution of the Minister of Education, Culture and Science, winter break of secondary schools in Ulaanbaatar city is extended until January 30, in accordance with the increasing spread of flu and cold weather.
Ts.Otgonchimeg, Deputy Head of Department of Education of Ulaanbaatar city said “In connection with an extension of winter holiday, summer holiday of secondary school would not be postponed. The classes lost in the time of this winter holiday prolongation will be taken during the first week of spring holiday”.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science extended the winter holiday of school in order to prevent from spread of cold as the National Agency for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring Information has reported that snowfall is expected next week in most territories of Mongolia.
In addition, some 23 thousand children of kindergartens have been vaccinated in order to prevent from flu spread.
