Annual reindeer festival to take place in Khuvsgul aimag

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 11th edition of the Mongolia's ‘Reindeer festival’, which is held at the initiative ‘Khuvsgul Mon Travel’ tour company, will take place on July 6-7 at the ‘Dalai Tour’ tourist camp in Khuvsgul aimag.
The event aims to spread unique livelihood, culture and tradition and customs of shamanism of reindeer people, improve their living standards, increase their income and protect reindeer animals, which have been decreasing in recent years.
During the ‘Reindeer Festival’, the ‘Khuvsgul Mon Travel’ Company is going to organize art and craft trade and exhibition named ‘Khuvsgul-Honored place of Mongolia’ and a tour through the tribes of reindeer people. Moreover, visitors, tourists and guests will enjoy opportunities to attend captivating events, such as a tour around the Khuvsgul Lake, fireworks and a ceremony of shaman's customs of evocation.
