GEC registers presidential nominees of MPP and DP

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ After processing the documents submitted by presidential nominees of political parties that are eligible to nominate a candidate for the upcoming Presidential election, General Election Commission resolved to register two candidates.
In specific, the nominees are M.Enkhbold, Chairman of Mongolian People’s Party and Speaker of Parliament and Kh.Battulga, former Member of Parliament and nominee of Democratic Party.
Political parties nominated their presidential candidates from May 2-6 and submitted their nominees’ documents on May 11. In accordance with the relevant law, the General Election Commission processed the documents within three days after submission, and thus declared its decision on May 14, Sunday.
M.Enkhbold and Kh.Battulga will receive their candidate certificates on May 27.
