Belarus to cooperate with Mongolia in agrarian equipment distribution

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Belarusian Minister of Industry and head of Belarusian side to the Belarus-Mongolia intergovernmental commission V.M.Vovk is paying a visit to Mongolia at the invitation of B.Batzorig, Mongolian Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry.

The Belarusian Minister commenced his visit meeting with the Minister B.Batzorig on March 28.To begin the meeting, B.Batzorig thanked his Belarusian counterpart V.M.Vovk for arriving to the country to maintain a frequency of high-level talks between two countries, expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation, especially cooperation in food, agriculture and light industry sector, define further cooperation and exchange views. “When Mongolia carried out its ‘First Campaign to reclaim virgin lands’ in 1959, it utilized Belarusian-made tractors ‘MTZ’. Belarus gave valuable contributions to Mongolia’s agrarian sector. We have a wide opportunity to develop cooperation in the sector,” emphasized the Minister B.Batzorig.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the implementation and progress of issues agreed during the 4th meeting of Mongolia-Belarus intergovernmental commission, held last September in Minsk, Belarus. In detail, the sides decided to resolve an issue to finance projects on distributing techniques, machinery and equipment of agriculture, road, public transportation, fire-fighting and special purposes, with involvement of relevant organizations of the two countries.  Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance, National Emergency Management Agency and other relevant organizations are working, added the Minister B.Batzorig.  

They also discussed about importing agrarian techniques and equipment from Belarusian leading industries ‘MTZ’, ‘Gomselimash’, ‘Remkom’ and ‘MAZ’. Moreover, B.Batzorig introduced that the ministry is working to establish farm of 4000 cows and milk processing industry in central farming region within ‘The First Meat and Milk Campaign’ of Mongolia.
B.Batzorig put forward a request to establish farms of 300 and 500 cows and milk processing industries with the soft loan of Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus. The request was accepted by Belarusian Minister.
