MoU signed on cooperation in the field of disaster management

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Deputy Head of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Colonel Ts.Ganzorig paid a visit to Changshin University and Changwon Fire Department Headquarters, Republic of Korea on February 16-17.


During the visit, the Memorandum of Understanding was established to expand and enhance the trilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of disaster management.




Within the framework of the Memorandum, sides will exchange students for master’s and doctoral degree in disaster and fire prevention, information on training, seminars and meetings of specialists, supply techniques and equipment and host mutual visits.


The delegates also held a meeting with Mayor of Changwon Heo Seong-mu and sides exchanged views on developing bilateral friendly cooperation, exchanging information and supplying equipment and technology for fire extinguishing and disaster prevention. Moreover, the Mayor’s Office donated four fire engine along with essential items to NEMA and agreed to implement a training program in fire extinguishing technology and operations.    


Furthermore, Memorandum of Understanding was signed between NEMA and Changwon city to cooperate in the field of emergency management, according to NEMA.
