Deputy Agriculture Minister meets Mongolia’s Honorary Consul to Uzbekistan

Light Industry J.Saule on April 29 met with Honorary Consul of Mongolia to the Republic
of Uzbekistan Abdugafur Yuldashevich Rakhimov.
The sides talked about exporting beef to Uzbekistan and importing fruit, berries, and white rice from Uzbekistan and cooperating in the organic food industry.
Deputy Minister J.Saule underline that the introduction of halal
meat processing technology in Mongolia brought an increase in the volume of
exports of meat and meat products from Mongolia to Central Asian and Middle
Eastern countries including Iran and Kazakhstan and that it is quite possible
for Mongolia and Uzbekistan to partner in the field.
Uzbekistan leads Central Asian countries in terms of the flavor
and quality of its fruit, berries, and greens and holds a prominent rank in the
global organic food industry. Honorary Consul Abdugafur Yuldashevich Rakhimov noted
that Mongolia could import onion, garlic and other vegetables from Uzbekistan
in addition to dried fruit and berries.
After mentioning that a delegation led by the head of Uzbekistan Veterinary Service established a memorandum of cooperation with Mongolian General Authority for Veterinarian Services during their working visit to Mongolia in 2018, the sides agreed to hold discussions on veterinary and phytosanitary agreements in order to enhance economic cooperation and boost trade between the two countries.
