Deputy Foreign Minister meets Japanese Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Munkhjin met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki yesterday.


The Ambassador congratulated the Deputy Foreign Minister on his appointment and wished a success in his future endeavors.


Stressing the importance of putting effort on maintaining the continuity of foreign policy of the newly formed Government of Mongolia, deepening the Mongolia-Japan Strategic Partnership, making full use of cooperation mechanisms, the Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his commitment to intensify the cooperation in trade, economy and investment sectors. Moreover, he highlighted the need for close cooperation between the two countries in opening the new International Airport ontime.


Underlining the importance of close cooperation between countries in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, the Ambassador expressed his continued support on Mongolia’s effort in this direction. Furthermore, he emphasized the potential opportunities for cooperation in the field of information technology in addition to traditional ones.
