Mongolia-India project for IT education, outsourcing center to be accelerated

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 10, Minister of Education and Science L.Tsedevsuren held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India M.P.Singh.


The sides exchanged views on accelerating the work for the project on IT education and outsourcing center to be implemented with support from the Government of India, and focus on matters such as starting construction work and solving corresponding financing issues. 


Following the visit of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Mongolia in 2015, a joint decision was made to prepare 1000 English teachers. In its framework, 76 teachers from schools in the capital city and rural areas of the country have gone under 2-month training in India in 2016. Minister L.Tsedevsuren expressed her wish to cooperate on improving the program implementation.


During the meeting, the sides also discussed previous suggestions on establishing an agreement on mutually recognizing educational certificates and degrees, and establishing a joint Mongolian-Indian school.
