Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On November 13, a charter flight departed to the Republic of Korea only to bring medical equipment and other technical supplies from the country. No repatriation will be performed with this flight.

Amid current strict nationwide lockdown measures in place due to recently-detected cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection, all future repatriation charter flights had been postponed for an indefinite period of time. In November 2020, 10 repatriation charter flights were scheduled, and only four  of them were performed.

As of today, Mongolia has arranged a total of 106 charter flights, bringing 20,582 people from abroad due to gradual COVID-19-related border restrictions imposed since January 2020.

In addition, 6,599 have people entered Mongolia across border crossing points neighboring with China and Russia, making the total number of people to return to Mongolia 27,181.
