COVID-19: Locally acquired cases stand at 990

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/.  According to today’s press briefing on the COVID-19 situations, 12 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus as a result of the nationwide PCR testing that involved 16,854 people yesterday.


The new cases are all close contacts of COVID-19 patients, taken under isolation. Four cases were detected among the family members of Munkhkhada company’s workers, and eight cases were citizens of 12th and 17th khoroos of Bayanzukh district.


Therefore, the number of locally acquired cases in Mongolia has reached 990, along with 410 imported cases. No new infections were recorded in other provinces.


Today, the total confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country stand at 1491 and 38 patients made recoveries.
