COVID-19: 271 new cases reported

 Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 271 new cases of COVID-19 detected after 17,537 tests performed nationwide in the past 24 hours.

 

Of the newly confirmed cases, 237 were detected in Ulaanbaatar and the rest or 39 were confirmed in other aimags.

 

As of today, the total cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia now stands at 9,598. In the past 24 hours, 163 people have been discharged from the hospital, bringing the total number of recoveries to 5,379.


Currently, there are 1,987 people who are diagnosed with the virus are undergoing treatment, of which 1,718 are in mild, 226 are in serious, 36 are in critical and seven are in very critical health condition. A patient aged 54, who were receiving treatment died due to COVID-19 complications, which brings the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the country to 11.
