PM meets representatives of culture, arts, sports and service sectors

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene today held a meeting with representatives of culture, arts, sports, food production and service sectors.
The meeting was organized by the State Emergency Commission in accordance with the decision to resume operations of culture, arts and sports events starting from today. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Amarsaikhan, Minister of Finance B.Javkhlan, Minister of Health S.Enkhbold, Minister of Culture Ch.Nomin and Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar.
During the meeting, Prime
Minister L.Oyun-Erdene said that the government is pursuing a policy to protect
both health of its citizens and the economy. Underscoring that the current
heightened state of readiness should be downgraded to the ‘Yellow’ level when 50
percent of the target population receives the third dose of coronavirus vaccine,
the PM asked representatives of the aforementioned sectors to work together
with the Government to call on the citizens to actively get involved in the
COVID-19 vaccination.
As of October 31, the coverage of 1st dose is 69.3 percent and 2nd dose – 65.8 percent of the total population. 415,012 people have received 3rd dose or a booster shot of COVID-19 vaccines nationwide. Currently, Mongolia has 1.9 million doses of Pfizer vaccine and 871 thousand doses of Verocell vaccine.
