The results of Prime Minister’s visit to China to be submitted to the National Security Council

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. At today’s regular meeting, the
Cabinet discussed the results of the working visit of Prime Minister L.
Oyun-Erdene to China and his participation in the opening ceremony of the Beijing
2022 Winter Olympics and decided to submit them to the National Security
Council.
Prime Minister of Mongolia L. Oyun-Erdene visited China on
February 2-8. During the visit, as a chairman of the Mongolian People’s Party,
he met with General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Xi Jinping and held
an official meeting with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, reaching mutual
understanding on wide range of issues such as elevating Mongolia-China
Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and coordinating policy documents to intensify
projects and programs between the governments of the two countries. Specifically,
the government heads discussed the issues on restoring and increasing the
exports of key commodities such as copper concentrate, coal and iron ore,
accelerating construction projects, involving private sectors of both countries
in large scale projects, developing mutually beneficial cooperation,
implementing tree-planting and green development projects as well as accelerating
the implementation of trilateral economic corridor projects.
During the meeting, the parties reached agreement on
finalizing the border lines and crossing points for railroads at Gashuunsukhait
- Gantsmod, Shiveekhuren - Sekhe, and Bichigt - Zuunkhatavch border checkpoints
and intensifying the work to connect Gashuunsukhait and Gantsmod railway checkpoints.
