On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of relations between Mongolia and Japan, a delegation of Tokushukai Medical Group arrived in Ulaanbaatar at the invitation of Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene.

Tokushukai Medical Group is the largest private medical group in Japan, with 71 hospitals and more than 400 clinical facilities. President of the Tokushukai Medical Group Shinichi Higashiue expressed his desire of establishing a Cardiovascular Surgery Center in Mongolia to reduce morbidity and mortality from cardiovascular diseases and to help strengthen the primary health care system in Mongolia. It is expected to invest JPY 500-600 million for the construction of the center.

President of the Tokushukai Medical Group Shinichi Higashiue:

-A delegation of Tokushukai Medical Group worked at four State-owned Hospitals in Ulaanbaatar. The hospital has not been chosen to establish the Cardiovascular Surgery Center yet. Tokushukai Group was first established with the aim of spreading Japan's latest and world-leading clinical methods to the world. Not only buildings will be constructed, but human resources will be developed and equipment will be provided.

The amount of investment will be discussed and decided at the board meeting of Tokushukai Group and will be announced. It is expected to invest JPY 500-600 million for the construction.

Advisor to the Prime Minister of Mongolia B.Bayarsaikhan:

-In the framework of the establishment of the Cardiovascular Surgery Center, we put forth a request to upskill our doctors, support capacity building, bring Japanese doctors for exchange, and share the experience. We visited the General Hospital of Songinokhairkhan District, the State Central Third Hospital, the State Central First Hospital, and the Mongolia-Japan Teaching Hospital. Currently, the main Cardiology Center in our country is at the State Central Third Hospital, and a feasibility study was developed. As Tokushukai Group is a group of large hospitals with great capabilities, it was considered possible to cooperate with other hospitals in terms of treatment.
