Deputy Justice Minister takes part in Hague Conference on Private International Law

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Minister of Justice and Home
Affairs B. Solongo gave a speech at the Asia-Pacific Week 2022, which was
organized as part of the Hague Conference on Private International Law.
In her speech, she noted that the
Government of Mongolia has acceded to the Hague Conference as its 89th member in 2021 and expressed her
satisfaction with the opportunity to participate and cooperate with the
organization in the development of private international law.
In addition, she spoke about the
implementation in Mongolia of the 1961 Convention on Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation
for Foreign Public Documents, the 1954 Convention on Civil Procedure, the 1993 Convention on Protection
of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption, as well as
the difficulties encountered in practice.
Deputy Minister B. Solongo noted that the
Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs of Mongolia is studying the
possibility of acceding to the 1965 Convention on the Service Abroad of
Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters, the
1970 Convention on the Taking of Evidence Abroad in Civil or Commercial Matters
and the 1980 Convention on the
Equal Participation of States in Judicial Proceedings.
