Ulaanbaatar, July 3, 2024 /MONTSAME/. As part of it's social responsibility Rio Tinto Mongolia has transformed the National Amusement Park of Mongolia, also known as the Children's Park, into a green space with new renovations.

The 10.2-hectare public area, from the Mongolian Children's Palace to Narnii Zam Road, has been renovated into a green space where citizens can relax and enjoy their leisure time in an eco-friendly environment. The Business Development Director of "Rio Tinto Mongolia," E. Khongorzul, presented this development to journalists on-site today.

The new "Green Park" officially opens to the public today. The construction work, ongoing for two years, includes an open theater, children's playgrounds, benches, pergolas, a self-replenishing irrigation system, and a pond.

Project engineer B. Zolzaya stated that more than 40,000 trees and bushes have been planted in stages, and 80 percent of the total area is now covered with grass. This effort has significantly increased the green space accessible to everyone in Ulaanbaatar City.
