Over 70,000 First Graders Begin School Across Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, September 2, 2024 /MONTSAME/. As the 2024-2025 academic year begins, 77,285 children across Mongolia have enrolled in first grade.


In the Capital City of Mongolia, 38,398 children have entered public secondary schools. The distribution by district is as follows: Baganuur with 620 students, Bagakhangai with 113, Bayangol with 5,807, Bayanzurkh with 10,425, Nalaikh with 882, Songinokhairkhan with 7,890, Sukhbaatar with 3,178, Khan-Uul with 6,699, and Chingeltei with 2,785 students.


Seasonal school breaks for the year have also been announced. The Fall break is scheduled for December, the Winter break for April, and the Spring break will be in June. Fall and Winter breaks will begin on Mondays and conclude on Fridays.
