University of Internal Affairs of Mongolia Awarded the Order of Sukhbaatar

Ulaanbaatar, October 9, 2024 /MONTSAME/. President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa issued a decree to award the University of Internal Affairs of Mongolia the Order of Sukhbaatar, recognizing the University’s valuable contributions to safeguarding and protecting Mongolia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, maintaining peace and safety among citizens’ lives, and making strides in the fields of science and education on security and law enforcement. 


General Commander of the Armed Forces and President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa participated in the celebration ceremony of the 90th anniversary of the University of Internal Affairs, awarding the University the Order of Sukhbaatar on October 4, 2024, and congratulated the generals, officers, non-commissioned officers, servicemen and servicewomen, cadets, and students, wishing them success.


The Head of State expressed gratitude on behalf of the government and the people of Mongolia to the generations of teachers and instructors of the University for preparing thousands of servicemen and servicewomen who work to ensure national security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the country, strengthen public order, and hundreds of scholars and intellectuals who developed the field of science on law enforcement to improve the training and quality of research.


President Khurelsukh expressed his utmost confidence that the cadets and trainees of the University would continue the legacy of the previous generations of servicemen and servicewomen, safeguard the country’s social and economic development, support and protect the people, and carry out their duties with honor and dignity.


The Head of State noted, that over the 90 years of its history, the University of Internal Affairs respectfully carried out its duty to train the workforce serving to strengthen Mongolia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and safeguard the people’s peace and safety. President Khurelsukh emphasized the contributions the University made in preparing the servicemen and servicewomen necessary for maintaining peace and protecting the independence and territorial integrity of Mongolia, especially during the complex times of the 1930s and 1940s regarding external and internal security, were invaluable. 


President Khurelsukh underlined that the University needs to define its development strategy, goals, and objectives more accurately, prepare skilled servicemen and servicewomen that meet the demands of the state military and law enforcement sectors, and further strengthen its material base in science, technology, and training. 


The University of Internal Affairs of Mongolia, which has graduated over 60 thousand servicemen and servicewomen, is currently providing professional education in 50 courses for bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees, and conducting research and academic work in 30 fields while integrating international quality management systems and standards.


The University has set 2024 as the year to further promote its history, enhance academic research, and celebrate its anniversary with 90 productive initiatives.
