National Team Athletes Win 149 Medals in 2025

Ulaanbaatar, December 25, 2025 /MONTSAME/. A total of 250 athletes of Mongolia’s National Team are undergoing training and competing under the guidance of 57 coaches across 27 sports disciplines, including winter, summer, and para sports.


In the outgoing year, national team athletes took part in 91 competitions as well as 24 domestic and 11 international training camps, winning a total of 149 medals. Of these, 36 were gold, 43 silver, and 70 bronze medals.


By competition category, athletes won four gold, six silver, and eight bronze medals at the Senior World Championships; one gold and two bronze medals at the Junior World Championships; and two bronze medals at the Youth World Championships. At the Senior Asian Championships, they claimed one gold, seven silver, and 14 bronze medals, while at the Youth Asian Championships, they secured five gold, five silver, and four bronze medals.


From Grand Slam tournaments, the athletes won seven gold, four silver, and 12 bronze medals. At Grand Prix events, they earned three gold, three silver, and six bronze medals, while from World Cup competitions, the athletes collected three gold, three silver, and two bronze medals. In qualification events and other international competitions, they won 12 gold, 15 silver, and 20 bronze medals.


The first medal of 2025 for the national team was won by International Master Achbadrakh Batmunkh, who returned home with two gold medals from a competition held in Gangwon province, the Republic of Korea, in January 2025. The final medal of the year was also claimed by cross-country skiers. Specifically, Ariuntungalag Enkhbayar won a silver medal in the women’s 5 km classical event at the Asian Cup cross-country skiing competition held in the Republic of Korea.
