‘National Green Lab’ Program to Protect Environment

March 17, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Mongolian
Business Council NGO, and The Nature Conservancy of Mongolia NGO have signed a
Memorandum of Understanding to jointly implement the “National Green Lab”
program.
Within the
framework of this MoU, the parties agreed to collaborate within their
respective mandates to attract funding for projects and programs that support
environmental protection and the green transition, engaging not only citizens,
NGOs, and civil society organizations, but also the private sector.
The Minister of
Environment and Climate Change emphasized that the objectives of this program
align with contributing to the legacy and achievements that Mongolia aims to
leave during its hosting of the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the
United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, as well as throughout its
two-year presidency. The Minister also highlighted the importance of increasing
environmental financing through the participation of government institutions
and other development partners.
