IOM to hold policy meeting here
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The International Organization for Migration (IOM) will launch a two-day policy meeting on Wednesday together with the National Security Council of Mongolia (NSC), in the “Tuushin” hotel.
Regarding the issue of combating human trafficking, the meeting will attract specialists and consultants from international and domestic organizations.
Opening remarks are expected to be made by officials from the IOM, parliament of Mongolia and the NSC. Presentations about trafficking human beings in Mongolia will be made by officials from the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor General's Office of Mongolia, the General Intelligence Agency of Mongolia, the General Police Department, the Research Center for Human Security and the Gender Equality Center.
Following the remarks and presentations, group discussions will run under themes “Identifying Key Trends and Challenges in Mongolia”, “NGO/Government Cooperation for Strengthening of Anti-Trafficking Laws and Coordination in Mongolia” and “Ways strengthening the implementation of Anti-Trafficking Policy in Mongolia”.
The meeting will last until October 15.
