Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has reported that in April, the maximum precipitation was recorded in Khovsgol aimag’s Rashaant soum, where the maximum thickness of snow cover was 52.7 mm.

In April, Dornogobi aimag’s Zamiin-Uud soum had the highest air temperature (30.0°C), whereas Bayan-Olgii aimag’s Nogoonnuur soum experienced the lowest air temperature (-23.0°C). The maximum wind speed reached 34 m/sec in Arkhangai aimag’s Erdenemandal soum.

In the same period, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide exceeded 3-29 times; dust content with less than 10 micron exceeded 16-27 times; and dust content with less than 2.5 micron exceeded the maximum acceptable level 2-15 times in the atmosphere of Ulaanbaatar when they were measured by over 10 air quality monitoring stations.
